Early Childhood Newsletter 4.1.2024

Dear PCS Families

We had a wonderful week back from Spring Break! The students did a beautiful job transitioning back and getting right into the routine. We are ready to be back and finish this last quarter of the year strong!  Our teachers have been working hard to create fun and engaging lessons to continue to push our students' learning! If you did not have an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher for conferences prior to break, please reach out to schedule an appointment.

St.Louis Cardinals Home Opener:

In celebration of the St. Louis Cardinals home opener we will have a dress down day on Thursday, April 4th. Come dressed in anything red or your STL Cardinal gear!

March Madness Read Aloud Tournament Celebration:

Solar Eclipse:

On Monday, April 8th our school will be participating in the viewing of the solar eclipse. We have NASA approved glasses for each child to wear during the viewing.  We are excited about this learning opportunity for our students.  Please see the attached letter with more information. Ms. Walsh’s Counselor Corner:

Assertiveness does not come naturally to all. (I'm still working on this myself at nearly 50! :) However, it's a skill that can and should be taught to children. Having the ability to be assertive in communication enables children to stand up for themselves and build resilience. Assertiveness increases self-confidence (belief in one’s abilities) and self-esteem (valuing oneself) as well as the ability to form and maintain stronger relationships. If you would like information on how to improve this essential life skill or just want a reminder, please check out the resource below.
