Elementary School Newsletter 12.12.2022

As we enter the final few days of the first semester, I hope that we can reflect on the growth that has occurred so far from our kids. Academics have been a big focus this year with some hard work being done across the campus. While we take our assessments and get a measurement of this growth, I want to say that I am proud of the staff and students for all that they have accomplished thus far.

This will be the last newsletter of 2022 so let me wish you all a Happy New Year. The kids, teachers, and even me are looking forward to a restful break, but we will be back with energy and enthusiasm to start 2023 off right.

SFE Update:

In the coming weeks and months, the school has authorized our food service provider, SFE, to begin substituting in some specialty items into the regular menus.  These items will sometimes be a dessert item or an entree.  The first offering will be this Friday, December 16, when a student receives a qualifying reimbursable lunch, they will receive a packet of Oreo Cookies as a dessert.  We are working with SFE to provide a variety of items, at no extra cost to the students, regardless of their meal status.  Any specialty items offered will meet dietary requirements and will be equally available to our vegetarian and non-vegetarian eaters.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Doyle.
