Ms. Carly McAdams

eighth grade ela teacher

My name is Carly McAdams, and one fun fact about me is that I enjoy running- yes, for fun! I also like shopping and reading. Being outdoors is one of my favorties too!

I believe that charter schools can impact students in enormous ways.  When job hunting, Premier Charter School stood out to me as a special place, and now I recognize it certainly is.  The fusion of character education and academics offers such a well-rounded learning experience for students, and I knew I wanted to be a part of that.  Everyday I get to work with the most important people in the world, the students, and I am honored to help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

An important goal of mine is to make the classroom a wonderful place for the students. I work to take a differentiated approach to their learning because each child has different strengths, and for them to do well, an educator must be aware and take advantage of those strengths. In order for every child to find success, we will use more than paper and pencils. We will have projects, cooperative learning, demonstrations, and role plays (to name a few!). I like to be active, and I know many of the students do too!
