Mr. Thomas Adair Eames

fifth grade teacher

I was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Saint Louis my junior year of high school.  I graduated from Kirkwood High School in 1986 and attended Central Methodist College where I played football.  I took some time off of school to travel and lived in a variety of places throughout the country, most notably in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Mackinac Island, Michigan.  I returned to Saint Louis and finished my first degree in Business/Spanish.  I worked for Pepsi Co. out of college and then for Brinker International as a manager for four years.  I started my first company, Dinnertime Personal Chefs, after reading an article about the personal chef business and seeing an opportunity here in St. Louis.  During this time I had my first child, Helena, now a junior in high school at Webster Groves High School.  After six successful years I sold Dinnertime and bought Great Harvest Bread Co..  I also had two more children, Gabriel a seventh grader at Hixson Middle School and Greta a sixth grader at Steger School.  Life changes led me to return to school in 2010 where I pursued an Elementary Education degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.  I worked as an intern at Premier Charter School in the fall of 2011 and completed my student teaching at St. Margaret of Scotland in the spring of 2012.  I returned to PCS as a guest teacher for the 2013/14 school year and was hired as a 5th grade teacher for the 2014/2015 school year.

I live in Richmond Heights with my wife Molly, our three kids, and Lizzie and Walter our two dogs.  I love to read, cook and travel.  I coach soccer, basketball and baseball for my children teams.  I am thrilled to have my own classroom and so excited to continue to work with the students at PCS.
