Dr. Mike Schrimpf
Assistant head of school
I have been a member of the PCS team since the school first opened in 2000. I began my career teaching 6th grade. I have also taught 7th and 8th grade during my teaching career at PCS. I was the middle school principal for the last 10 years and have been the Assistant Head of School since 2016. In this role, I primarily work with teachers on curriculum and instructional materials. The goal of PCS is to provide students with a world class education. To do so, it is critical that we continue looking at the curriculum that we offer students to make sure that it is both rigorous and appropriate for all students. I look forward to the opportunity to work with all teachers and PCS families on this critically important task. I also work closely with our technology coordinator to ensure that PCS students have frequent opportunities to work with cutting edge technology.
When I'm not at PCS, I have my hands full with my 5 year old son and 3 year old daughter. I am also an adjunct professor at Greenville College. I teach a class called "The Learning Environment."
