Early Childhood Newsletter 4.8.2024

Dear PCS Families,

Today we will share in a special astronomical event as a school community.  Around 1:45 pm until approximately 2:15pm, our students and teachers will head outside to the field and enjoy the solar eclipse.  Each of our students will be provided with safety glasses to wear while they are outside.

We are excited to share the winner of the March Madness Read Aloud Tournament!!! The winning book was If You Laugh I'm Starting This Book Over, by Chris Harris chosen by Mrs.Rollins and Ms.Rehr class! It was a very close vote and we had to use our golden tie breaker. We loved to see the excitement of reading in our EC building followed by our students dressing up as their favorite book characters!  As always, our students did not disappointed!  Thank you parents for helping our students celebrate!

"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree," is an old saying familiar to most of us. Sometimes it's simply genetics at play when our children move in ways, both flattering and unflattering, that seem to reflect ourselves or another caregiver in the home. However, most often, it's our children copying what they see and/or hear from us. They have a front row seat to how we treat ourselves and those around us each day. Being mindful that they are always watching is important as we do our best to highlight ideal social and emotional traits as well as to break cycles of unhealthy ones. If you'd like more information on this topic, please take a minute to check out the resources below.
