Channel 4 Reporter, Steve Harris, visited PCS to interview Jessica Smyth(Early Childhood Principal), Kate Keller(2nd Grade Teacher), and students from the PCS Green Club on Premier Charter School being formally recognized as the first K-12 Tree Campus in Missouri by the Arbor Day Foundation, as well as receiving the Missouri Arbor Award of Excellence.

National Schools of Character are schools that have demonstrated through a rigorous evaluation process that character development has had a positive impact on academics, student behavior, and school climate.

Missouri Schools of Character is an initiative of Character.org to recognize schools that demostrate that their focus on character development has had a positive impact on academic achievement, student behavior and school climate.

According to the MCPSA, this award is designed to "recognize a Missouri charter public school leader who motivates students, parents, staff and community to create an outstanding school. His or her school models a challenging, nurturing environment where children are the first priority."

We were one out of three MO schools that received the National Governor’s Fitness Award in the fall of 2019. By proving we are dedicated to health and wellness, we won a fitness center valued at $100,000 for our students and staff.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Officials from Schnuck Markets, Inc. announced a donation of $25,000 to Premier Charter School to aid in the cost of technology tools needed for virtual learning.
