Connection.  Curiosity.  Resilience.

As an early childhood team at PCS, we are dedicated to your children.  In our program, we start by supporting a solid foundation on which learning and growth can be constructed.  By working together with families and children, we can create a strong social and emotional base for all of our students.

We know that we can foster resilience in children by having a deep and broad understanding of how they develop and what they need from us, the adults around them, in order to thrive.

This understanding has helped to guide our Early Childhood program. On a day-to-day basis, this looks like Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade classrooms that nurture the development of the whole child.

In these classrooms, students are not only learning the foundational skills of working and playing with others, but also building academic skills through their natural curiosity and learning. Children are seen as thinkers, researchers, and problem solvers.
